In line with African Union Year of education in 2024, the department of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation, through its technical and specialised office, the African Union International Center for Girls and Women's Education in Africa (AU CIEFFA), organised the first ever AU-led conference on girls' education on the continent. The event brought together over 800 delegates, onsite and online.
